Camera Club

Camera Club

In 2014, we were very lucky to receive support from the PTFA to start the first ever Camera Club at St Wilfrids. Children from Year 5 and Year 6 come together weekly to explore camera shots and have fun. Mrs Fletcher guides the children each week and together they learn how to take a good photograph.

For the past two years the Camera Club has mounted their very own photography exhibition, held at the Church, and raised money to support the Church lighting fund.

During 2016, they were very lucky to have the opportunity to photograph before, during and after a Wigan Warrior's Rugby match as well as visiting Worthington Lakes and Haigh Hall to collect images for their exhibition. In summer 2016, Camera Club won the Career Aspirations Award at the Wigan and Leigh Education Awards.
