Welcome to St. Wilfrid’s…

On behalf of the whole academy, I would like to welcome you to our new website.

St. Wilfrid’s Church of England Primary Academy has been delivering education as part of the Standish Community for many years and we are very proud of all that has been achieved. We are very much a family who work together in partnership to ensure that all children are happy and achieve well. We enjoy close links with St. Wilfrid’s Church and we are very proud of our strong and distinctive Christian identity, culture and ethos, which permeates all aspects of academy life.

St. Wilfrid’s Church of England Primary is part of the Learning Together Trust and the sponsoring organisation in the Multi Academy Trust, currently sponsoring another local school and working collaboratively.

In September 2007, Ofsted judged the school to be Outstanding in all areas. We are very proud of this and the significant achievements of all our children. During June 2013, we had an extremely successful SIAMs inspection, which was also judged to be outstanding in all areas. We have been successful in achieving a range of awards and accreditations. In 2016, we were proud to be shortlisted for ‘Primary School of the Year’ in the Greater Manchester Regional Schools’ Awards.
