Wigan & Leigh Education Awards 2017

We were delighted and honoured to be shortlisted for four awards at the 2017 Wigan and Leigh Education Awards:

  1. Pupil of the Year - Harry Mortlock
  2. Sustainable School of the Year - Air Quality Team
  3. Innovation in Technology
  4. Primary School of the Year

The awards were held on Monday 19th June at Wigan and Leigh College and we were represented by pupils Harry, Sophie, Ben and Grace and their families.

It was a very exciting and inspiring evening with worthy winners in every category. We were delighted to receive Highly Commended Awards in the Primary School of the Year and Pupil of the Year categories.

We were even more delighted to be named as the Sustainable School of the Year for our ongoing air quality project in conjunction with UCLAN. The award was proudly collected by team member Grace and Mrs Lochrie.

We then received further good news as we were named winners of the Innovation in Technology Award which was again very proudly collected by Ben, a senior Camera Club member, and Mrs Fletcher, who even managed a very, very short thank you speech.

We are proud to have received these awards and congratulate all the other worthy winners from the evening.

We would love to hear from you
