Year 6 Veteran's Visit

Year 6 had a very special treat as part of their learning on their Focus Theme ‘Wigan at War’.

Eric and David came into school to talk to the children about their lives as soldiers, serving in very different conflicts.  They also gave the children an insight into what it was like to live in Wigan during World War 2.

Year 6 presented them both with 'Ration Cake', baked by Mrs Cunliffe, as a thank you for giving up their time to share with the children such fascinating memories.
