Parents With a Confirmed Place for Reception and Nursery:

We are delighted that you have chosen for your child to attend St. Wilfrid's Church of England Primary Academy and we are really looking forward to you as a family joining us in September. There will be an Induction Evening on Wednesday 24th June at 5.30pm for Nursery children and 6.30pm for Reception children.

Forms to complete for children starting in Nursery and Reception in September 2026 are below.

Our 'Meet the Teacher' session for Reception children will be on Friday 10th July. Children who are new to St. Wilfrid's are invited to attend from 9.15am - 10.15am with parents. Children who already attend St. Wilfrid's will be taken to their Reception class from 10.15am to 11.15am by Mrs Cunningham. Children who do not usually attend this session are welcome to attend for the hour too.

In September there will be a staggered start over the first two weeks in September to help all children settle into Reception and become familiar with their new environment, staff and routines. This is a really important part of transition and we are very grateful for your support in helping all the children become settled and confident. Further details of start sessions will be included in your pack given out on Induction Evening. If you are unable to attend you may collect your pack from the school office after this date. 

Nursery children will be invited to meet the Nursery Team in September and will also have a staggered start. Further details of your child's individual start sessions will be included in your pack given out on Induction Evening. If you are unable to attend you may collect your pack from the school office after this date.
