Community Events
December 2023
We hold regular community events which involve our children, families and the wider community including the local Mayor and our local Member of Parliament and are always attended by members of our clergy. We work with local charities to host events such as our Scarecrow Festivals and food bank collections.
Families came together to share a singalong in school
Together we have raised money for Wigan and Leigh Hospice
Nursery invited families to stay and play together
Reception invited familes to come and see our scarecrows as the children have been reading the story 'The Scarecrow's Wedding'
Everyone was invited to our Christmas Fayre
Our Christingle was held at St Wilfrid's Church. The church was filled with familes sharing the spirit of Christingle and raising money for the Children's Society.
Our Chistian Ethos group have been working on being 'Agents of Joy', preparing cards to share with others in the community at Christmas
Our Year 6 children joined members of the local community at the Peacegate for Remembrance Day
We join together to take part in a wide range of activities with the focus on socialising, making new friends, spending time together and having fun. Our community events cover all ages and we target people who normally would not have the opportunity to come into school.
