Christian Ethos Team
January 2026

|
Our Christian Ethos Team plays a central role in nurturing the values, faith, and character of our school community. Guided by our school’s Christian values, the team works to ensure that our school’s Christian ethos is lived out in everyday school life. The team helps to create meaningful opportunities for pupils and staff to explore faith, spirituality, and moral values, while promoting care for others, social responsibility, and a strong sense of community. It encourages everyone to treat one another with dignity, kindness, and respect. Through its work, the Christian Ethos Team helps our school remain a welcoming, inclusive, and caring place where Christian values inspire learning, personal growth, and service to others. |
December 2025

|
Our children continued to be ‘Agents of Jesus’, with 2025 being the year of ‘Embracing and Transforming’. We are always looking for opportunities to ‘make a difference’, locally and globally, through taking social action. During December, which was the month of ‘Joy’, our Christian Ethos Team visited Lakeside Care Home, to spread joy by singing carols together, playing board games, having a chat to the residents and saying hello to the care home’s dog. As a school, we supported Wigan and Leigh Hospice by selling reindeer antlers. The initiative was open to all pupils during the school day, with all proceeds raised being donated directly to the hospice, demonstrating the school’s continued commitment to supporting local charities and the wider community. |
