St Wilfrid's Church
Our Church, St Wilfrid’s, is an Anglican parish church which is situated in Market Place, Standish. The Church is part of the Diocese of Blackburn.
The Church is a Grade 1 listed building which was built in the 16th Century but a church is believed to have stood in this same place since the early 13th Century and maybe much longer.
We have strong ties with our Church, the Rector of St Wilfrid’s, Rev’d Canon Andrew Holliday is our Chair of Governors. Members of the clergy from St Wilfrid’s lead weekly worship for our staff and pupils in both KS1 and KS2. We visit the Church for special services during the year and use the Church as inspiration for a wide variety of learning including history topics, art, and media.

We have access to the Church’s new giant screen to enhance our worship in Church. Pupils and teachers work together to produce resources to use during the services.
